Today's topic is how to investigate your own health issues and use preventative measures to halt and heal them before they become a problem. I would really like to encourage comments to engage conversation about the topic. If you can offer examples of your own experiences and wisdom it will make a difference for those involved in the learning process. We can all help each other.
All of us have an ache or a pain, here or there in our daily lives. But, imagine that day that the ache, pain, numb sensation, weakness or anyone of the many abnormal sensations that can happen when our bodies are trying to say something to us. We are aware of that moment... we may say "Hey, that does not feel right." or maybe you start making adaptions in your day to favor a certain part of your body that hurts. As we all know our bodies talk to us, telling us there is a problem. The next step of course is usually to work through it and ignore the subtle warning, right? We have all kinds of stuff to do in our lives. Kids, work, household stuff, bills or even physical fun activities that we don't want to stop. Our bodies are very smart and also have the wisdom to want to be healthy, it will continue to send warning signs....as time goes on they will become more severe, more debilitating until finally we have to stop because we have no choice. Our body says "hold up" "I am going no further, until you fix this issue!" Does this sound familiar?
What if we addressed the problem, the warning at the beginning and did not let it get worse? We can start new habits in our daily lives to maintain our health with only a few minutes of paying attention to our bodies each day.
